Letter to Parents / Patrons

8/13/2020

Dear Parents/Patrons,

I want to thank everyone for their patience and hard work enrolling their students with our new online system. This has been a very large task that has been completed with only a small number of issues. There have been many kind words and encouragement from our parents and community members. This encouragement really helps and it is part of the reason that Frederick has enjoyed so much success in the classroom and in our extracurricular activities.

The school year will be somewhat different than in the past. We are offering multiple modes of education for the first time. Our teachers, besides working in the regular classroom setting, will also be engaging to help students who have chosen the virtual or blended options. We are looking forward to serving your student. There will be some growing pains with a new mode of delivery but teachers, support staff, and administrators are working diligently to address these issues. We want to assure you that we are going to work through these tough times and find solutions that will help each child grow.

Remember that flexibility and patience are key ingredients to a successful school year. Let us work together to make the best of a very tough situation and put our best effort forward for our students. I trust that if you have any questions, you would feel free to call or come by the office of any school sites or the admin building. We are ready to help.

Sincerely,
Shannon Vanderburg
Superintendent
