Superintendent Update, 4/8

Dear Parents/Students and Staff,

I want to thank you for all of the work that was put in to get everything ready for the Distance Learning that will occur until the end of school. We had over 95% of our student packets picked up on Monday. Many of those who did not pick them up called to make arrangements. We were thrilled but not surprised by the response.

We continue to work our way through these unprecedented times. Our Child Nutrition staff has been working diligently since the end of Spring Break to feed our students. Currently we are preparing and delivering just short of 900 meals per day. Total to date, we have delivered approximately 9500 meals. This could not be done without the help of 20 volunteers per day on 10 routes to make the deliveries. Teachers, Support Staff, Admin, RECAP and community members have all come together to help deliver the meals. We appreciate their efforts.

While you student is working through their lessons, feel free to contact their teacher with
any questions that you have. We are here to help.

Sincerely,
Shannon Vanderburg
